01Introduction

This Privacy Policy contains important information about how we use your personal information. We respect the privacy of individuals who interact with our business and where you choose to provide us with information about yourself, you trust us to act in a responsible manner with that information.

In this privacy policy, references “Folio & Co.”, “us”, “we”, or “our”, are all references to Folio & Co.

If you have any questions, comments or concerns about any aspect of this policy or how Folio & Co. handles your information, please email us at custodian@folioandco.pk.

02What information do we collect?

We collect personal information from you when you share it with us. In this section we explain the ways we collect personal information from you.

We process contact information such as name, company, country, email address, and other declared personal information about you when you provide it to us. For example, when you fill out online forms, call, or email us, or enquire about our services.

When you visit our website, our hosting provider automatically processes basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, so that the site can be delivered to you securely. How we use cookies is explained in the next section.

03Cookies and website analytics

Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website, for example which pages are viewed, how long visitors stay and roughly which country they are in. Google Analytics sets cookies only if you click “Accept” on our cookie banner. If you click “Reject”, no analytics cookies are set.

We do not use cookies for advertising. You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” at the bottom of our website. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits to our website without using cookies.

04How do we use your information, and on what basis?

We use your information to reply to your enquiry and to discuss how we might work together. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and on taking steps you have asked for before entering into an engagement with us. We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to marketing lists without your agreement.

05Who do we share your information with?

We use a small number of trusted providers to run our website and email: Cloudflare hosts our website, a form service delivers website enquiries to us by email, Google provides our email and, if you accept cookies, our website analytics, and some lettering on our website is loaded from Google Fonts. These providers handle information only to provide their services to us. We do not share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.

06Is your information sent abroad?

We receive and keep your information in Pakistan, and our providers may process it in other countries, including the United States. We use established providers that protect personal information to recognised international standards.

07How do we protect your information?

Access to your information is limited to the people at Folio & Co. who need it to respond to you, and our accounts are protected by secure passwords.

08How long do we keep your information?

We keep enquiries for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and delete them within two years if no working relationship follows.

09What about client information?

If you become a client, the financial records you share with us are governed by your engagement letter and our confidentiality agreement, not by this website policy.

10What are your rights?

You may ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy of it. Please email custodian@folioandco.pk and we will reply within one month. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on your request.

11How do you make a complaint?

Please contact us first, and we will do our best to resolve your concern. If you are in the United Kingdom, you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). If you are in the European Union, you may complain to the data-protection authority in your country.

12Our services and children

Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed at children.

13Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
